TUCO Annual Conference 2019

The 2019 Annual Conference will take place between 29th & 31st July 2019 at the University of York.

Save the date, and further information will be updated here.

TUCO Annual Conference 2018

We are delighted to confirm that this year's TUCO Conference will be taking place at the University of Hull.

The University of Hull is England's 14th oldest university and is currently undergoing a £200million project to improve their buildings and facilities - £130million of which is being invested to build brand new accommodation. All rooms are now complete with en suite bathrooms and we will be using these for the Conference.

We have carefully chosen the University of Hull as this year's venue as it meets all the requirements of our ever-growing conference and exhibition. The university's layout means that each aspect of the conference is located adjacent to each other with one large exhibition space, meaning that it is easy for our delegates to explore.

The TUCO Conference will be taking place from Monday 23 July to Wednesday 25 July 2018

Why wait?  Book your delegate place now, the full 3-night delegate package is just £315+VAT.
That includes your accommodation, dinners and conference place on all three days.
Use the booking form below to book your places today.

Delegate Tours & Experiences

We have a variety of unique experiences taking place after your arrival on Monday 23rd July. You can choose from three different activities on offer:

13:00 THE WINE CHALLENGE
The wine challenge takes place at the House of Townend, a multi-award winning and history rich wine merchant in Hull.
Guests will enjoy a talk about the wine industry, and then taste several wines whilst trying to pin down which variety and region they are from. This will be an entertaining and informative afternoon.

13:00 PIPERS CRISPS FACTORY TOUR
Guests will learn about how the company was formed, starting out in farming, the three partners decided to create a gourmet crisp range that, out of choice, would not be sold through the grocery multiples, and would give a point of difference for independents. We will take in a full factory tour and literally see potatoes going in at one end and the finished product coming out at the other. Pipers have some new product development about to launch too, so we will be amongst the first to see and taste this.

15:00 UNIVERSITY CAMPUS TOUR
A guided tour of the key catering & bar installations at the University of Hull. Following their huge refurbishment programme, they have some new and innovative areas to share with guests. The tour will culminate with refreshments and an overview of how YBIF has been adopted at the University. YBIF is Your Business is Food and is an initiative from WRAP looking to reduce food wastage. The talk will briefly outline how it works in practice for the University.

15:00 LOCAL LINKS: INTRODUCING LOCAL BEERS TO YOUR CAMPUS
Bricknell Brewery is probably Hull’s smallest brewery, with a typical brew producing only 150 litres of bottled beer, most of which is sold in outlets within a couple of miles of the brewery.  Learn & taste with this interactive overview of the brewing process and enjoy a tutored tasting of the brewery’s full range of beers.
