Alan joined the University sector in 2011 after spending over 25 years working for various catering contract companies and in various operational positions, latterly as an Regional Business Manager and Exec board member. Alan is currently Deputy Director, Operations for Residential and Business Service, at the University of St Andrews, where his role includes responsibility for student dining in their nine catered halls, as well as all of their residential management and housekeeping teams. Alan is also responsible for the Student Accommodation services team, which allocates and manages all of the students accommodation at St. Andrews.
