Join the TUCO Academy at the Universal Cookery and Food Festival. This is the ultimate food experience, designed by chefs for chefs. Dubbed the Glastonbury for chefs!

Overview

The UCFF provides chefs with a unique opportunity to get out of the kitchen and rub shoulders with local farmers, foragers, growers, and suppliers, in addition to networking with some of the industry's top insiders and colleagues. And this year our own TUCO Chefs Forum Lead, Graeme Collie from Kings College London will be presenting!

Why should I take part?

The UCFF moves around the country every year, choosing quirky and food centric venues, this year the festival takes place at Tewinbury Farm in Hertfordshire. Find more details on the UCFF website: about | ucff

  • Learn directly from industry experts with content that addresses the hot issues and challenges for chefs and the hospitality industry
  • All food and drink at the event is included in the ticket
  • Multiple stages with chef demonstrations, interviews and panel debates throughout the event

What’s included?

  • Overnight stay in Welwyn Garden City (the Festival starts at 08:30)
  • Evening meal on Monday the 15th of September (19:15)
  • Entry ticket for the festival
  • Travel to the farm from the hotel (if required)

What’s not included?

Anything not listed on the itinerary including, but not limited to:

  • Additional drinks, room service, trips not on the itinerary etc. 

Itinerary:

Day 1 – Overnight stay in Welwyn Garden City

  • 19:15 - Dinner 

Day 2 – Festival

Because of the location - we recommend you drive (there will be parking spaces at the hotel and the event). The nearest train station is Welwyn Garden City and there are ubers and taxis available.

  • I can’t see a particular course/training, can you run it?

    If you are interested in receiving training that is not already offered by TUCO Academy, pop us an email or give us a call and we will see if we can source it for you. By going through TUCO Academy you will be able to purchase the training at a subsidised rate and if you can offer the training to other members it will reduce the cost further.

  • Can I request a course or development day be held at my organisation?

    The TUCO Academy has worked hard to offer all training at a subsidised price, agreeing reduced corporate contract rates with hotels etc. - yet still understands the benefits of in-house training. To that end, working alongside the professional trainers, TUCO Academy can arrange for events to be held at your own institution, for no extra cost.

  • Who can use the training with TUCO Academy?

    All professional development events are available for ANY staff in institutions who are members of TUCO, not just employees in the hospitality, catering and commercial services department.

  • Can I book on behalf of someone else in my organisation?

    Yes – the person making the booking doesn’t have to attend.

  • How do I pay for my professional development event?

    You can opt to pay by credit card on the booking form directly or select to pay by invoice. If you need to submit a purchase order this can be entered in the booking form.
