Academy Trainer Camilla Hayes is currently on maternity leave. To cover Camilla's courses, the Academy have introduced Contract Tutors; ex or current TUCO board members to deliver training sessions across the Academy's portfolio.

Their combined knowledge and expertise gives learners access to decades of sector experience, practical insight, and real-world perspective from individuals who have played a significant role in shaping university catering across the UK.

Ian McCaulay - previously Director of Catering & Nurseries, University of Edinburgh: "When I was approached to do the training, I thought it sits directly with what I'm about - which is investing in people. I've always said that recruitment is a challenge, but the most important 'R' is retention. We're coming at the training material from the position of having lived it in previous jobs, so we're able to take the theory and put it into context that people can imagine happening".

Chris Whaley - previously Catering Manager, University of Lincoln: "Being able to apply my industry knowledge means I can give more insight into the training. The courses themselves are kept up to date by Highfield Training, meaning you've got incredibly knowledgeable people putting these courses together. Then we get to deliver them, adding our own experiences along the way."

Calum Maclachlan - previously Head of Commercial Services, University of Aberdeen: "I am delighted to be able to continue my relationship with TUCO and am looking forward to working with the community, delivering the highest level of training opportunities."

Emma Stansfield - Head of Residences, Catering & Bars, University of Manchester: "It's especially rewarding when someone's been struggling and you can take something apart and make it relevant for them."
