Speaking to the TUCO Magazine (August edition – view here), Ryan commented on his new role: “The chairs are there to put their own stamp on things – personal passions and influences that will impact the way they get things done. I’m really looking forward to working with TUCO members and listening. If you want to connect with me, my email and phone is always there. I will endeavour to get the best answers for them [TUCO members].”
Ryan has 20 years’ experience in the catering and hospitality industry, including senior and management roles in Michelin star restaurants. In education, he previously worked at Bath College before joining Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.
Ryan succeeds previous South West regional chair Nick Leach, who we thank for his services. Caroline Wynn of University of Bristol will be deputy chair of the region.
