The TUCO Foundation (launching as part of the Academy) is hiring for a Group Travel Manager.

Passionate about travel and food, a fantastic multi-tasker and can provide exceptional service? If this sounds like you and you’re looking to showcase your skills, the TUCO Foundation is searching for a Group Travel Manager to organise and attend UK and international tours and travel events for catering and hospitality staff.

The TUCO Foundation is a recently established charity, wholly owned by The University Caterers Organisation Ltd (TUCO), an independent membership body for in-house caterers.

Its aim is to provide procurement support, training and advice to those working in public sector catering. TUCO members are primarily UK universities and colleges and the TUCO Foundation offers learning and development opportunities for catering and hospitality staff within these institutions.

As part of this learning and development, the TUCO Foundation provides the opportunity for members to attend UK and International Study Tours - organised trips to food and drink establishments around the world - giving catering professionals the opportunity to learn first- hand about a country’s eating habits, to experience a city’s food service trends for themselves, or to directly observe the practices of a well-known food brand or outlet.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised individual, preferably with a second European language, to take control of the creation, management, and organisation of the Foundation Study Tours. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced role which crosses over several industries - travel, catering and education - and gives you the unique chance to shape the learning and development of staff within our member institutions, providing them with the inspiration needed to fuel the next generation.

You will be primarily home-based but occasionally required to travel overseas and throughout the UK to familiarise yourself with tours and meet members. In return, TUCO offers flexible working conditions, employee training opportunities, volunteering sessions, health and wellbeing benefits and more.

Closing date for applications is 11th February. Interviews to take place online on 15th & 16th February.
