Overview

In areas of the UK, to serve local schools and public sector organisations with locally sourced milk and dairy where applicable.  We use independent smaller businesses that would not necessarily be able to be part of a big contract themselves.  This is DairyLink’s USP in working with and supporting many small independent businesses. Using this methodology, we serve around 55,000 school children each day with milk working with our team of independent milk distributors, as well as some distribution belonging to our dairy suppliers.  Our dairy suppliers are all accredited with the required Food Standard legislative requirements and we ourselves are STS/Micron2 accredited for the management of sub-contracted diaries and distributors. We offer a sustainable procurement solution and a sustainable supply chain. As part of the School Milk Research Project in 2000, our Managing Director and a current member of staff were instrumental in working with the Welsh Assembly Government to introduce free milk for Wales for children up to KS1.  We were part of the Steering Group in helping to cost out the costs of the supply of free milk for the whole of Wales for this group of children as well as the costings for fridges and bins at the request of the Welsh Assembly Government. With some of our staff coming from Dairy Farmers of Britain and prior to that ACC Milk (part of the Cooperative), we have around 55 years of experience in the dairy industry between us. We are a small business consisting of family members and other experienced staff in the industry and offer a full and personal service to all of our customers via dedicated account managers.
