Overview

Started in 1978 by Robin Gray and Ebrahim Mukadam (who are still at the helm of the business as Chairman and Managing Director respectively) LWC has gone from a single unit lock-up in Manchester, to become the UK’s largest independent drinks whole sale.

LWC now have 17 depots across the UK and their hub and Head Office (or support center as LWC prefer to call it) based in Manchester. The 17 depots (with more in the pipeline supply) have full UK coverage from the top of Scotland to the bottom of Cornwall and everywhere else in between. The LWC customer base consists of 15,000 customers, including but limited to 5 start hotel resorts, large national accounts, independent pubs, late night venues such as night clubs, restaurants, theme parks, councils, universities and Student Unions etc.

LWC are a wholesaler, a brands business, a wine shipper and merchant and own 50 pubs, which means we don’t just understand logistics and supply chains, we also have a over 40 years’ experience of running pubs; this is experience we can help share with our customers.

LWC believe strongly about supporting the local stakeholders around their regional depots / hub all have apprenticeship schemes in place to help the local community get jobs in these depots. Each depot has the autonomy to list local suppliers as they understand how important this can be for their customers, this also helps the local economy and LWC have helped turn local family businesses into national success stories.

LWC have been working with TUCO members since 2011, when they were first added to the TUCO framework. Since this time our business has grown, especially since we became TUCO Business Partners in 2018 and we now supply nearly 70 TUCO members, across the UK.
