CUBO (College and University Business Officers) has opened registration for its Residence Life Annual Conference 2022. The Conference supports the development of residence life professionals and programmes, and takes place on Tuesday 3 May and Wednesday 4 May 2022 at the University of Sheffield. It is open to both members and non-members of CUBO in higher and further education, as well as providers of private purpose-built student accommodation.

This year’s Conference has a packed programme of workshops and keynote speakers on topics including Living Black at University, Sustainability, Mental Health, Drug Trends, Creating Inclusive Communities and Residence Life Models, as well as great networking opportunities. There is a choice of in-person or virtual participation.

CUBO’s CEO, Jan Capper, said:

“We’re delighted to be holding a hybrid Residence Life Conference in 2022.  If you work in accommodation or residence life, or are a college or university looking to develop a residence life programme, this is definitely the conference for you. Please do visit our website and register before 14th April.”

During the Conference, the winners of the CUBO Residence Life Star Awards will be celebrated and will receive their awards. The Awards recognise the vital work of residence life teams across the UK and Ireland – the professionals and students who create supportive living and learning communities in purpose-built student accommodation.

The awards comprise six Student Star Awards, and the CUBO & Acuho-I New Residence Life Professional Award for a residence life professional with up to five years’ experience. Student winners receive a trophy and invitation to the CUBO Residence Life Conference, while the winner of the new professional award is announced on the night and receives a trophy and funding to attend the Acuho-I Conference in the USA.

The Residence Life Annual Conference is open to CUBO members and non-members, with a choice of in-person individual ticket, in-person and virtual team ticket, and virtual-only team ticket.
